Description
Our unique throw is handwoven on a vertical loom with embroidered patterns from the Sinú culture. “The Pre-Columbian SINÚ civilization emerged in the fertile flood plains of the Caribbean lowlands of present-day northern Colombia.” They were very virtuous goldsmiths, weavers, and potters. The zoomorphic iconography found in the Sinú gold work was the source of inspiration for our embroidered throw.
Our Orange Throw represents Gold. “Gold was associated with the sun and it’s golden rays and thought to be a source of sacred and celestial power.”
